There was a flurry of finished objects in the past few days. I finally finished the Chevron Socks from the Sensational Knitted Socks book in Online Supersocke in one of the “Summer” line of colorways (792).

I finished the basic crochet shrug in black Wool-Ease sport weight (and I am sad that they discontinued this weight. I grabbed a couple of skeins on Ebay a few months ago.)
I also finished a crochet cotton tote bag in Sugar n Cream Potpourri Print. I’m debating lining it with calico or leaving it like it is. The main thing I really would like is a smaller inside pocket. I may crochet one and see how it looks.

What is now on the needles/hooks is:
- The afghan that will not die for the crochet class
- The purple-y crochet sweater in TLC Amore from Crocheted Sweaters book (It’s actually the green one on the cover): about 30% done (I started last summer and didn’t finish)
- Basketweave socks for ChaosGirl out of lavender Fixation
What I will start as soon as I finish the afghan that will not die:
- ChaosGirl wants a shrug like mine so I need to start that out of Cottontots Very Berry
- Boyfriend socks for DH
- A ripple blanket for ChaosGirl’s twin bed out of multiple shades of pink, rose, blue, green, and purple.

i covet those socks! what beautiful yarn. the bag and shrug are lovely, too.
thanks so much for linking me! that is the perfect pattern, and i think i even have the book at home. were they hard to do? i knit alot with a four year old in my lap.
They were really easy – though I say that not having done the afterthought heel she used. It works fine with a short row heel and probably would with a standard heel flap heel too. The chevron pattern is a 9 stitch repeat that alternates every other row. I had it memorized after about two rounds. Plus, with the two purl stitches between each chevron it’s really easy to tell if you messed the chevron up because you’ll be knitting over purl stitches.
